Cy-Champ PUD Parks

Within the Cy-Champ Public Utility District, a series of adjacent one-acre sites were transformed into thoughtfully amenitized parks. The first site, Legacy Oak Park, preserved the natural landscape, allowing the site’s character to guide the design. Historic oak trees remain in place, forming a graceful buffer between neighboring residences and the park itself. Tucked within this forested setting, a playground, fitness stations, a walking trail, and a parking lot invite the community outdoors without disrupting the shade and serenity of the woods. Serenity Park, the second site, sits beside an assisted living facility for those diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, and its design carries a deeper purpose. The goal was to connect patients and their visiting families to the calming, restorative qualities of nature. Multiple seating areas surround a prominent water feature, where the gentle sounds of cascading water offer a soothing focal point. Butterfly gardens scattered throughout the park create moments of quiet discovery, while a walking trail finished with special paving guides visitors along a clear, easy-to-follow loop. Every detail supports comfort, familiarity, and peace.

The third park currently in design is a four-acre site envisioned as a gathering place for the wider community. Plans call for two pavilions, an event lawn for neighborhood functions, a playground, fitness track, workout stations, and additional parking. Beyond these new spaces, our team also oversees the maintenance of the district’s existing Cy-Champ Park, ensuring that this established amenity continues to serve the community well.
