Via La Cantera Streetscape
La Cantera Town Center is a busy and vibrant, walkable, urban destination in San Antonio. Focused on the characteristics of live, work, play, the Town Center hosts hotels, restaurants, and office space, as well as parks, trails, landscaping, and streetscape design. Clark Condon is working with USAA and the Patrinely Group to develop several projects for the development, including the streetscape aesthetics and design for Via La Cantera.
The newly installed streetscape along Via La Cantera creates a visual statement as you traverse through. The two-lane street boasts sleek new LED street and pedestrian lighting, wide sidewalks, and hill country-style planting. The planting palette includes Cedar Elms, Palo Verde trees, multi-trunk Live Oaks, native grasses, and perennials. The material palette consists of a rich mixture of soft-colored, textured pavers punctuated by pockets of planting with limestone blocks for accents. These elements establish a signature landscape for Via La Cantera.
