MD Anderson’s desire was to create a Class A office building to consolidate all of its administrative operations for the first time. Being located on the prominent corner of Braeswood Boulevard and Bertner Avenue gave the design team a unique opportunity to create another landmark place in the Medical Center. Clark Condon designed a signature water feature, outdoor public plaza, seating pockets, and enhanced streetscapes. The fountain is made from blocks of Texas granite hand carved at the quarry. Conservation and sustainability were important considerations for the project.
