The Roark Early Education Center within Willis ISD is a 7-acre campus complete with opportunities for learning through exploration and imaginative play. Clark Condon and the design team emphasized the relationship between the interior themes and the outdoor space with framed moments in the landscape that are viewed throughout the building. The site features two interactive courtyards, a playground, and recreational areas with locally sourced stone utilized as natural play elements. Additionally, a stormwater collection cistern affords an opportunity to educate children and staff on the importance of conservation efforts and sustainability.
