Grange is a new 1,130-acre master-planned community in Katy, Texas, thoughtfully designed to embody the charm of “Small Town Livin’.” Years of careful visioning and design have shaped a community that seamlessly blends modern conveniences with a nostalgic, neighborly atmosphere.
At the main entrance, signature monumentation and wayfinding playfully incorporate the community’s name and identity, including a stunning, 21-foot rice sculpture with kinetic panels that flutter in the breeze. The landscape design offers an immersive experience, from forested areas to sprawling open spaces with picturesque views of wildflowers and native grasses.
The first phase includes Henley Park, a neighborhood hub with a pavilion, play areas, and an event lawn that will serve as the gathering place for community events until the amenity center opens. Another park space will be at the model home park, featuring a pavilion, seating area, and fire pit for small gatherings. There will also be two large amenity ponds with trails, seating, and swing structures set within an expansive mix of native grasses and wildflowers.
Looking ahead, Phase II will introduce Ricestead, the heart of the community, featuring a generous green space and communal lawn. The main amenity center, set to open in 2027, will offer a resort-style pool, clubhouse, fitness center, and coworking space. This phase also includes covered sports courts for pickleball, another playground, and plans for future commercial buildings. These spaces will house local companies, reinforcing the small-town feel and promoting a strong, lasting connection among neighbors.
