Lakeland Heights | Bridgeland

The master-planned community of Bridgeland is bordered on the north by Cypress Creek. The master development plan reserved 1,000 acres to devote to the Cypress Creek nature area. The six-mile, multi-use trail system winds through a canopy of trees and offers an opportunity to walk, jog or bike along a shaded path. Wildlife observation areas offer glimpses of some of the 140 species of birds that frequent this habitat. Educational signage along the trail helps visitors learn about the environment. The trail head for the Cypress Creek Trail is Oak Meadow Park, a 30-acre wooded park that offers a picnic area, an 18-hole disc golf course, a fishing pier on a stocked lake and a covered pavilion with restrooms. Bridgeland amenities include more than 3,000 acres of waterways, lakes, trails, parks, and open space. The 10,000-acre community is home to 65,000 households.
