We are so excited about the grand opening of Juan Seguin Park this week! It was an absolute pleasure collaborating with Harris County Precinct 2 and the design team to bring this idea to life and commemorate a Texas hero.
“Juan Seguin played so many different roles in Texas history,” Kelley said, “from the early stages all the way to the Battle of San Jacinto and even beyond that, and naming this park after him was a way to honor that legacy. He was one of the key players in the reason Texas won its independence from Mexico.”
