Elizabeth Gilbert Named Inaugural Recipient of Texas A&M LAUP Renowned Alumni Award
At Clark Condon, we believe great landscapes don’t happen by accident; they’re the result of vision, dedication, and people who truly care about the communities they serve. Elizabeth Gilbert embodies all of those, and we couldn’t be prouder to share that she has been named an inaugural recipient of the Texas A&M Department of Landscape Architecture and Urban Planning (LAUP) Renowned Alumni Award—the highest department-level honor a former student can receive.
Elizabeth joined Clark Condon in 2004, the same year she graduated from Texas A&M with her Bachelor’s in Landscape Architecture. Since then, she has built a wide-ranging portfolio across the public and private sectors, including streetscapes, parks, plazas, and master-planned communities designed to bring people together. In 2022, she and her two business partners assumed ownership of the firm, and today she leads as Managing Principal.
As she describes it: “One of the greatest joys of being a landscape architect is the opportunity to create places that bring people together—to play, to experience nature, and to create memories.”
Her connection to Texas A&M has continued as she serves on the Landscape Architecture Professional Advisory Board and gives back through guest lectures and student mentorship. In 2024, she helped establish two scholarships on behalf of Clark Condon, signifying a true investment in the next generation of landscape architects.
Reflecting on the honor, Elizabeth shared: “Receiving this award is one of the highlights of my career, a symbol that my dedication to landscape architecture is felt and has an impact on the future of the field.”
Congratulations, Elizabeth. We’re proud to have you at the helm of Clark Condon and are inspired every day by the work you do. To read the full announcement, visit arch.tamu.edu.
