Clark Condon’s Legacy: Honoring the Past and Galvanizing the Future

In the summer of 1985, Clark Condon was founded to create meaningful outdoor environments within the greater Houston area. Clark Condon quickly garnered a reputation for designs that celebrated nature, embraced the land, and were reflective of the community they served. Over the years, the firm has grown and expanded and has completed projects varying in scale, type, and complexity with unparalleled excellence.

For more than three decades, Sheila Condon has led Clark Condon and helped shape the landscape of Houston through the design of iconic regional destinations. She has mentored the next generation of landscape architects to have the same dedication and commitment to our clients and their vision. We celebrate Sheila’s achievements and her impact on the profession of landscape architecture.

At the end of this year, Sheila will retire from Clark Condon but will continue working with some local non-profit groups to lend her expertise in placemaking and design.

“Since Clark Condon was created in 1985, we have had the opportunity to design places for people and, hopefully, a more beautiful Houston.”

– Sheila Condon

Led by Elizabeth Gilbert, Jason Miller, and Mary Keilers, Clark Condon will continue the firm’s legacy and passion for transforming environments and creating immersive experiences. Celebrating a successful first year, the new leadership team looks forward to 2023 and all the New Year will bring.
