It’s official! The 75-year-old Heights-based Farmer’s Market will undergo a 3 year, $10 million redevelopment to bring Houston its own Pikes Place. The transformation will create a destination retail experience for the City of Houston with the additions of climate-controlled spaces, shaded open-air market areas, restrooms, common selling areas and more square footage. MLB Capital Partners is leading the project and put together a team of consultants including, Studio RED Architects, Clark Condon, Gunda Corporation and Arch-Con Corporation to bring this iconic market concept to Houston. The firm has also enlisted the help of well-known Houston chef Chris Shepherd and beer guru Kevin Floyd as food and beverage consultants.
